"Monica" Friendship Mitten
This pair of mittens is featured in my new book: Friendship Mitten Book - Techniques for Knitting & Designing Latvian Mittens published in September, 2023.
Each of the 20 designs in my book were named for a friend. “Monica” is design #15 and includes instructions on how to make the Latvian Braid.
To make these, I used TINES yarn - a yarn sourced in Latvia. One could also use Hea 7/2 (from Estonia), Rauma, or Satakieli.
The mittens are sized for a medium hand, producing an 8” mitten in circumference once blocked.
